CLIENT SERVICES OFFICE

The Grind Pembroke’s Client Services Office is the coordinating hub for all activities that are geared to help individuals in crisis secure the help they require. Our goal is to meet our client’s basic needs, such as food, hygiene kits and to refer those with more complex issues, relating to mental and physical health and addictions, to professional resources in the community for in-depth and long-term assistance, such as counselling and case management.

Clients referred to the office are registered and their basic needs are addressed by staff with the assistance of embedded college students from Algonquin College’s Social Service Worker Program. Clients dealing with life issues are referred to professional staff from the Crisis Team of Mental Health Services of Renfrew County and the Pembroke Regional Hospital Mental Health Services. These professionals assess the client’s needs and make recommendations on where the client should be referred for on-going help.
