CLIENT SERVICES OFFICE
The Grind Pembroke’s Client Services Office is the coordinating hub for all activities that are geared to help individuals in crisis secure the help they require. Our goal is to meet our client’s basic needs, such as for food, and to refer those with more complex issues, relating to mental and physical health and addictions, to professional resources in the community for in-depth and long-term assistance, such as counselling and case management.
Clients referred to the office are registered and their basic needs are addressed by embedded college students from area colleges, for example from Algonquin College’s Social Service Worker Program. Clients dealing with life issues are referred to embedded professional staff from the Crisis Team of Mental Health Services of Renfrew County. These professionals assess the client’s needs and make recommendations on where the client should be referred for on-going help.
Community Impact
1567 Requests: Calls for assistance received by Client Services Office (Jan 2020 – Dec 2021).
