The Grind’s Client Services Office, located at 122 Pembroke Street West, in downtown Pembroke, Ontario, is a “bridge from despair to hope”. The office is the coordinating hub for all service and administrative activities of The Grind Pembroke. Opened in the early summer of 2017, the office provides information on available community supports to meet a variety of needs and issues.

In addition, professional mental health / addictions counsellors from Mental Health Services of Renfrew County who are embedded at The Grind or available for virtual consultation, work with College placement students from local, Renfrew County-based colleges to assess the needs of clients who request assistance and then to direct them to the most appropriate community supports. These services are short-term and non-clinical in nature. We are able to help those who recognize they need help and who are willing to accept it and follow through with referrals.

Between January, 2017, and December 2018, the Client Services Office received over 2,046 enquiries on issues ranging from homelessness and lack of food & clothing to health-related crises & general housing-related concerns. In 2019, 723 clients were assisted.
